What are some really funny/stupid things our government has since 9/11 done to fight terrorism?

Using this info to write satire criticizing the films like "SuperSize Me". Please, don't go SuperPatriot on me. I know terrorists are bad, but some things we've done to fight them have just been stupid. Give me some examples of recent things (last 4 years) as well as things that are still in place (like the Patriot Act) and please include as much detail as possible.
