Copyright content on youtube?

Just curious if you upload a video on youtube that violates copyright law can you get sued or will youtube remove it or are both possibilities? I'm asking because I might want to upload a parody of a song and i'm not sure if the parody constitutes fair use since it seems more of a satire.
