What is the most clich� opening to an essay you can think of?

I'm trying to make a statement in the beginning of my essay (for an advanced high school English class) by opening it in a way that would make any English teacher roll their eyes (the paper is about satire). Something along the lines of "Throughout the course of history..." or "Imagine what the world would be like if..." Any ideas would be appreciated! Thanks!
