So i just heard about dish soap REALLY helps w/taking out hair color..dye?

So i just heard about dish soap REALLY helps w/taking out hair color..dye. I had red highlights but now most of it is off. i still have a little (it faded so now its a weird orangey color) i was wondering if i use dish soap will it take the rest of that orangey color i have out? Will it damage/ ruin my hair even more than it is ? OH and will it feel VERY dry/brittle after you use it? and we have the Dawn dish soap
