Do you think the response is bias when it comes to Obama vs Bush insults?

I have noticed that a ton of people take offense to some of the caricatures of Obama, like the monkey ones. I can remember when similar pictures of President Bush were used in satire magazines. Why is there so much outrage when Obama is portrayed this way, but there was little to no anger when the same thing was done to president Bush? I am not trying to defend either person, nor am I a "crazy conservative" (I am actually quite liberal) I am just wondering why it was OK for Bush to be insulted relentlessly, but as soon as it happens to Obama it is racist? I am tired of seeing the us against them mentality that the media seems to have these days.
