Using Aphogee on over processed bleached hair?

I got my hair lightened a few days ago and the bleach was left on far too long. Now my hair is so so so damaged! It goes all mushy/gummy when wet and its so brittle it just snaps when I brush it. I heard about aphogee two-step protein treatment and have checked out their website. It can be used on Caucasian hair (which mine is) and its designed for extremely damaged hair. However, it recommends for the product to be used in a salon but is it possible to use it at home successfully?
